Portrait Info and FAQS

How much should I expect to spend?

The total expense to Alexi Hubbell Photography before the session date is $250 - this is the booking fee and does not include prints and digitals.  1-2 weeks after your session, you will return for your viewing and ordering appointment. At this time you will decide what images you wish to buy and in what form., i.e., matted prints in a portfolio box, albums, framed prints, etc. At the ordering appointment clients spend between $800-$3,000, on average, most spend around $1,800 on their portraits.  See pricing page for more info. What you end up spending is entirely up to you. A la carte prints start at $75.00. View product pricing here

Can I bring someone to the session and/or ordering appointment?

Yes! this is totally up to you. Who do you want to be photographed with? If you would like to include anyone in your portrait session, please just let us know when you book your session. Additional hair and makeup fees will be applied at $90 per person.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we offer payment plans on orders of $900 or more.  The booking fee ($200.00) is not included in this total and must be paid upfront to reserve your date, before your planning consultation. Payment plans may be for any duration, up to 3 months for $900 orders or above and 6 months for $1,500 orders or above.  A payment agreement must be signed at your ordering appointment, with first payment paid. Payment plans must be set up on automatic payments with credit or debit cards. Products are not delivered to you, the client, until the final payment has been made, so keep this in mind when planning your session to give yourself plenty of time to pay off your total before you may need or want your products by.

Can I have/buy the digital files?

We do offer digital file options. The price is $75 per hi-res file, $700 for 15, or $1000 for 30 or, $1500 for all digital files from your session.  That being said: we create art here. We are a quality boutique studio and as such, our soul purpose is to create wall art and fine art albums for your home. We believe that if someone goes so far as to commission a portrait session, with all the bells and whistles, that it only makes sense to see it through to a final material product.  We have expertise in framing, printing, sizing and displaying these pieces - this is part of our job. There are two likelihoods for the life of digital files: 1) they will sit on the computer, never to be seen again, and 2) they will be printed at discount stores that will alter the quality of the images, ruining the art we worked so hard to create. These discount printers can not offer the products we offer or our level of quality, care, and sensitivity to privacy. Digital files can be purchased on a glass USB and box set. For any prints and products you order through Alexi Hubbell Photography, a hi-res version of that image will be sent to you.

What should I bring to a session?

Most of the outfits you see in our photos are available in our studio wardrobe. All clients have access to the studio wardrobe as part of the session fee. We have sizes from xs to 4x.

View some of our wardrobe pieces here (be warned this link includes lingerie for our boudoir photoshoots)

We do recommended you bring some things of your own to be comfortable and have options if you’d like. Most women think they don't own much that we can use but with a bit of creativity we can create totally unique looks for you. Have an open mind when looking thorough your closest. Sheer cover-ups, lace, leather, dresses, and fabrics like scarves can be great for these types of photos. We recommend that you treat yourself a little beforehand by going out and getting yourself a few pieces that make you feel amazing. This is a whole experience, after all.

 4) Viewing and Ordering Appointment

You will have an opportunity to pick your images and products at your ordering session which is about 1-2 weeks after your photo shoot. Ordering sessions are a fun and relaxed way to view your photos, pick your favorites, and order your prints.

When you show up to your ordering appointment you will watch a slideshow of your images on the TV screen. You will then choose the photos you can’t live without and decide how you would like to print them and when you would like to take them home.

We offer many print products, including our luxury folio boxes, matted fine art prints, framed prints, albums, and more! We see the final results as keepsakes and heirlooms. We want you to have something that you will treasure forever.

Note: photos must be purchased at the ordering appointment, meaning you cannot come back at a later date and then buy them. We remove all non-purchased photos from our system unless on a payment plan.

Our prints start at $75 and digital files start at $75 plus sale tax and go up from there. How much you spend is entirely up to you. On average, most clients spend between $1500-$2500 on their art.
