Adventure Elopement in the LaPlata Mountains Durango, Colorado

Ansley and Andrew were so excited to come to Colorado to elope in the mountains with me as their guide!

The couple had hired me last year for their large wedding that was to take place August 2020, but because of Covid-19 Ansley called to inform me that they were going to cancel. I asked if they still wanted to journey out to Colorado, just the two of them, and have an unforgettable experience. They enthusiastically said, "yes!". Ansley bought some good hiking shoes and they picked their favorite location out of the ones I suggested for them.

We met at the base of the road, hopped into the jeeps, and made our way to 12,000 feet above sea level. We stopped for wildflower fields, raspberry patches, and waterfalls. We Discovered old gold mines and found some mineral-rich rocks with the rock hammer we carried. The only other witness to the ceremony was the marmot (pictured here). Fun side fact: you don't need officiants or witnesses in Colorado!

This. This is what I live for. This is my happy place.
