Frozen Waterfall Proposal and Engagement

Jeff contacted me a month before he planned to propose to Dylan in Durango, Colorado. They were planning a trip to ride the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad for the wintery scenery. I told Jeff that I knew of a spot near the Cascade train location, where we could hike to for the proposal. I sent him the photos and we knew it was the spot.

I helped Jeff create the perfect plan. I sent detailed maps and directions because the trail is hidden and hard to find if not local. Jeff told Dylan that they were going to the mountains to for the day and that Jeff knew of a great waterfall area to hike in the winter. The day-of, me and my crew hiked down before Jeff and Dylan were set to arrive. Jeff was a bit early, I guess he was excited so we had to rush and we pretended to take photos of ice climbers and waterfalls, while Jeff and Dylan walked around. Jeff then approached me and asked if I could take a photo of the two of them on his phone. I took his phone and shot a few, then Jeff asked if I could shot one more. I said yes, and then grab my camera off of my hip. Jeff dropped to one knee in the snow and asked the question. Dylan said, yes!

We spent the rest of the time climbing around the snowy river area taking all sorts of romantic and epic winter time photos. If was a fabulous day full of joy, love, and water in our boots!
