Silverpick Lodge Fall Wedding: Holly + Nick

When you think of a fall wedding, you probably visualize various squash, a nice chill in the air, and leaves on trees. If you have ever tried to plan a fall wedding, you might know that that is the shortest season of them all and it can be rather difficult to guess if leaves will still be around if the snow will start falling, and all sorts of other “what if’s”. In Colorado, the couple just takes their chances, but one thing is always certain: you will not be disappointed.

In late October, Holly and Nick chose to tie the knot at Silverpick Lodge in the San Juan Mountains between Durango and Silverton. The cold-front had just swooped in the week before and knocked most of the leaves down to the ground. the beauty of aspen trees, however, is that they remain gorgeous year-round, even when stripped bare. the tall white trunks, reaching up the heavens is on the best photo backdrops a wedding party could ask for.

The contrast of the bare white trees to the golden leaves and grasses is almost to fairytale-like.

Enjoy!
